How to Use Telehealth
Mighty Mental Health offers patients the ability to meet with their Providers in the comfort of their own home or while on the go via their smartphone. Virtual visits, also known as Telehealth Visits, are video and audio meetings between the patient and the Provider, using a secure encrypted link that is HIPPA compliant. Meetings can take place using any internet connected laptop or desktop computer plus any cell phone, with a camera and microphone.
Telehealth visits are used as follow up appointments and routine monthly update visits. The Providers at Mighty Mental Health try to schedule initial visits to be in person, in our office, due to insurance regulations, plus it enables the Provider to make an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan, however Providers will work with a patient if a situation requires an initial tele-health appointment. Patients who are under the age of 18 are scheduled for Telehealth appointments also, but a parent or guardian must always be present with the patient.
Telehealth visits can be begun using 2 different methods at Mighty Mental Health. The first method is using the internet link that is sent in the email or text notification regarding the appointment. Simply clicking on the link embedded in the text or email will direct you to the secured Telehealth meeting. The second method used to enter into a Telehealth visit is by logging into the Patient Portal and clicking on the next appointment link.
Once a patient has entered into the Telehealth visit they will be required to pay any copay or deductible before starting the visit. This can be easily handled using a credit card. It is very important to remember that a Telehealth visit is handled exactly as an in person visit would be for cancellations and no shows. Please ensure that any cancellations are called into our office at least 24 hours before the start of the appointment. Failure to follow these instructions will require a cancellation charge or no show charge fee to be applied to the patient’s account.
Telehealth visits are similar to in office appointments where sometimes the Provider may be delayed entering the virtual visit at the exact start time. Patients MUST not exit the Telehealth visit after entering the meeting room. If the Provider has not entered into the virtual meeting room within 20 minutes of the scheduled start time, the patient must call our office at 702-479-1600 and speak to a staff member for further instructions. If a patient leaves the virtual meeting room the system will not allow them to re-enter and the visit will be marked as a no show appointment.

Our clinicians utilize a holistic approach that incorporates in depth knowledge of how pre-existing medical conditions can influence and trigger psychiatric symptoms. The decision to begin medication management is a combined effort between the Provider and the individual patient.
ADHD Testing and
Treatment
Our office offers both in office and online ADHD Testing for both children and adults. Our board certified Nurse Practitioners are trained to administer the tests and discuss the results with the patients and family. Testing is a great tool for Providers to use to help determine the best treatment plan for all patients. Our office uses the state of the art software created by QbCheck to help diagnose and track our ADHD patients.
Therapist
Referrals
Our board certified Nurse Practitioners work with a select group of well experienced Licensed Therapists in the Las Vegas area. Depending on the patient’s symptoms and goals, the patient and the Provider will determine if therapy could offer solutions to the current situation. Therapy can include individual, group or family for adults and children. Finding the right Licensed Therapist for your individual needs is very important. The Therapy referrals available at Mighty Mental Health will ensure that every available tool is being utilized to help reach each patient’s goal.
